The Axemen basketball team eliminated the Cape Breton Capers in quarterfinal action to advance to the AUS semi-finals before bowing out to UPEI. Winnipeg, Man. native Ben Miller, named the Subway Player of the Game against the Capers, posted 19 points in the win. Sixteen of Miller’s nineteen points came in the final quarter. Miller was four for five from the three point arc in the fourth quarter and tied the game at 68 with his third of three consecutive three point baskets late in the game. Miller had 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in their loss to UPEI in the semi-finals.
