The Axewomen captured their second AUS title in the modern era this past weekend. In two wins this past weekend including a semi-final win over Saint Mary’s and a championship victory versus UPEI, senior forward Allie Berry dominated the boards. In the opening semi-final game, the Yarmouth, NS native had 13 rebounds and nine points and in the championship game against UPEI, Berry posted a team high 20 points and added 14 rebounds and was nine for thirteen from the floor. Berry was named the AUS Championship game most valuable player for her dominating performance and was also named to the AUS All-Star first team earlier in the week.
