For the first time in the Athlete of the Week selection, a team is being honoured as the Athlete of the Week. The women's basketball team finished the first half of the AUS season with a 7-0 record. With a 15-1 record this season including exhibition play, the Axewomen are the No. 1 ranked team in U SPORTS. The team resumes regular season play on Thursday, Janauary 4th against Saint Mary's at home starting at 6pm.
