The Axemen hockey team advanced to the AUS semi-finals after a sweep of the best of three quarterfinal series against the Dalhousie Tigers. Senior forward Boston Leier was named the Subway Player of the Game in the Axemen’s first win against the Tigers. Leier, from Saskatoon, Sask, had two goals and an assist in the Axemen’s 5-2 win and scored an empty net goal in Acadia’s 4-2 win in game two. Leier's second goal in game one was the eventual game-winner. Leier sits in second place in AUS post-season points race with four points
