The U SPORTS No. 7 ranked hockey Axemen started 2018 with wins against Moncton and No. 6 ranked Saint Mary’s. Senior forward Remy Giftopoulos, from Ancaster, Ont., picked up three goals this past weekend including two goals against Moncton and one against Saint Mary’s. Giftopoulos’ second goal against Moncton was the eventual game-winner and his goal against Saint Mary's was a go-ahead goal. Giftopoulos sits fourth in team points and eleventh in the AUS. Remy was named the AUS Subway Athlete of the Week.
