The Axewomen basketball team finish the first half of the season with a 5-2 record after winning this past Saturday night at home. Second year wing Jayda Veinot posted a game high 20 points in the Axewomen’s 94-76 win over StFX. From Port Williams, NS, Veinot was 50% from the field and drained two timely three-point shots. She was also six for six from the free throw line. Veinot is averaging 13.3 points per game.
