Wesley-Ann Bailey (women’s volleyball) and Ryan Munro (men’s basketball) have been named Acadia athletes of the week for the period ending November 19.

Bailey, a fourth-year political science and psychology major, led the Axewomen to a pair of 3-2 victories in Fredericton against the UNB Reds over the weekend. This moved Acadia into first place in the AUS. She finished the weekend with nine blocks, 13 block assists, 22 kills and three service aces. In Saturday’s victory she also had four digs. Overall she 40.5 points over two matches.

Munro, a fourth-year business administration major, was efficient off the bench in back-to-back games for the Axemen over the weekend, shooting over 56.3 per cent over both games against Memorial, which included an impressive 70 per cent from three-point range. He finished with 25 points, four rebounds, four assists and a steal in just 30 minutes in the two games.
