Maddie MacKenzie of the Acadia Axewomen rugby team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 30, 2018.

A senior winger from Peterborough, Ont., MacKenzie scored four tries in Acadia's 66-0 home win over the Saint Mary's Huskies Friday in Wolfville, N.S.

With the win, the Axewomen move to 3-1 on the season.

Academic program: Kinesiology

Dan Walker of the UNB Reds men's soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 30, 2018.

A fourth-year striker from Fredericton, N.B., Walker scored three goals and added two assists in a pair of weekend wins for the Reds.

In Saturday's home win over Saint Mary's, he scored twice and was named Subway Player of the Game.

He added another goal and two assists Sunday in the Reds' 5-1 win over UPEI in Charlottetown, P.E.I.

Throughout the 2018-19 season, each Subway Atlantic University Sport Athlete of the Week will receive a $50 Subway gift card and a signed certificate courtesy of Subway and Atlantic University Sport.
