Michael Squires enters his sixth season with the Axemen. 

Coach Squires is currently the Axemen's receiver coach and is helping with the offence game planning.

In his first two years, he worked primarily with the running backs and special teams.

Squires also helped out with the Nova Scotia Provincial Teams for the past 5 years as an Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Assistant.

As a player, Michael Squires graduated from Acadia in 2012, after winning the AUS Championship in his last two seasons (2011 and 2012).  He was named a 2011 and 2012 All-Canadian receiver and had a brief opportunity in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders and Toronto Argonauts.

Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Squires now lives in Wolfville where he works as an Investment Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy.
