Travis Fenning scored under three minutes in the opening half of the game against the Tigers. A feed from senior striker Matt Berrigan was easily tapped in by Fenning to give Acadia the early 1-0 lead.

Thirty three minutes later, Tareq Amoush scored his first of two goals to tie the game at one. Quinn Park received the throw-in in the Acadia end and Quinn's header to Amoush was quickly kicked low to the far corner of Axemen keeper Nic Jefferies.

In the closing minute of the first half, Tiger Hassan Alnuwaysir headed a crossing pass from Enrico Rodriguez for the go-ahead goal.

At the seventy sixth minute, Amoush scored the goal that would guarantee the win. Tiger Freddy Bekkers sent a "threaded needle" pass to Amoush who maneuvered past two Axemen defenders for the goal.

The Tigers landed 10 shots on goal compared to Acadia's six.

The win gives the Tigers an undefeated record of 2-0 after weekend one of the AUS regular season, while the Axemen drop to 0-1-1. Acadia heads to UPEI and Mount Allison next Saturday and Sunday, while the Tigers take on cross-town rivals Saint Mary's this Thursday.
