Peters scores three in Axemen victory over Mounties

WOLFVILLE - Anderson Peters scored three times in 15 minutes to pace the Acadia Axemen (1-1-1) offence in their 4-1 victory over the Mount Allison Mounties (0-2-0) on Saturday.

Opening the scoring in the 20th minute, Peters scored twice more in the 34th and 36th minutes to put Acadia up 3-0. 

Mount Allison's Jack Bennett cut into their lead in the 44th minute on a penalty, where the score stood at half. 

The final goal of the match was highlight reel worthy from Akuzike Chipudhla in the 69th minute.

Dylan Legere made one save in the Acadia win, while Artie Fotheringham made eight saves in the loss for Mount Allison. 

The Axemen head to New Brunswick for a pair of games next weekend, while Mount Allison face Dalhousie Sunday afternoon in Halifax.
