Axemen draw Aigles Bleus

Axemen draw Aigles Bleus

The Acadia Axemen finished their weekend with a pair of draws after finishing Sunday's match 0-0 against the Aigles Bleus.

Acadia could not take advantage of playing a man up during the last 20 minutes of play.

Dylan Legere made a save for the visitors and Mattéo Blanc, four for the Aigles Bleus. The goalkeepers, however, were busy during the game supporting their defenders. Moncton had five corner kicks, two of which were almost successful compared to two for the visitors. There were few kicks on goal on either side, with defenders doing their job of limiting access to the net. The game was intense with several battles for possession of the ball on both sides. Alexandre LeBlanc (Moncton) and Max Rogers (Acadia) were named the players of the game.

The Aigles Bleues and Aigles Bleus have two weekend games as they visit the Mount Allison University Mounties on Friday at 5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. and the University of New Brunswick Reds on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Acadia hosts Cape Breton on Saturday and St. Francis Xavier on Sunday.
