Humble joins Axemen for 2024-25 swim season

Preparing for the 2024-25 season, the Axemen have welcomed Alex Jonsen-Humble to the program.

Coming to Acadia from the Dartmouth Crusaders, his main strokes are fly and IM.

“I'm looking forward to the close-knit, small-town atmosphere that Acadia and Wolfville offer,” he said. “While at Acadia, I'll be studying kinesiology; I can't wait to learn more about biomechanics and how our bodies function. I'm excited to swim with the Axemen, to train and compete hard with a dedicated team, and to further my own skills. I hope to qualify for U SPORTS in the 100 fly, 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM.”

Jonsen-Humble has been with the Crusaders since 2018, winning the swimathon fastest male award over three straight seasons from 2021-2023. He was the club’s award of distinction recipient in 2023 (awarded to an athlete for dedication, team spirit and performance). He was also part of the group that set the 4x200 relay club record that year.

This season he achieved 18 top 10 performances, based on FINA points, across eight swim meets. He was also the senior male high point winner at David Fry, as well as a member of the top male team at the same meet. He qualified for Easterns in the 50 fly and 400 IM.
