Jasmine Sjothun is the next addition to the Axewomen rugby recruitment class for the 2024 season.

The fly half joins Acadia from Langley, B.C., most recently playing for Langley Rugby Club.

From 2022-23 she was team captain and recipient of the tough as nails award (hardest hitter). Prior to that was with Fraser Valley Rugby Union from 2018-22, where she was also team captain.

Sjothun also played with her high school’s senior team at R.E. Mountain Secondary School. She was team captain in Grade 11 and 12, while also winning back MVP.
