Acadia sweep the second match of the weekend 3-0 

St. John's, NL – The Sea-Hawks dropped the second match of the weekend 3-0 to the Acadia Axewomen 

The first set was a battle for points, but Acadia fought hard and won 25-20 over the Sea-Hawks. Acadia dominated the rest of the game with their relentless attack and won the second set 25-10, and the final set 25-12.  

Acadia's outside hitter Lucy Glen-Carter (Toronto, ON) had an outstanding game, winning the Subway player of the game and recording 10 kills and 17 digs. As a team, Acadia registered 34 kills, 7 service aces, and 58 digs.  

Memorial's standout player of the game was Libero Hannah Potratz (Spirit River, AB), who kept her team in the game with a total of 14 digs. She took home Memorial's player of the game award with her strong effort and refusal to give up.  

Tomorrow the Sea-Hawks face off at 1pm in the Works Fieldhouse for their final game of the weekend. Games are available to stream on Austv.ca or the live stats can be followed at atlanticuniversitysport.com
