This past weekend at the U SPORTS women’s basketball national championship in Toronto, first year Axewoman and Port Williams, NS native Jayda Veinot averaged 20.3 points in three games. Veinot, who was honoured as the AUS Rookie of the Year last week, was named the Player of the Game twice this past weekend in the Axewomen’s second consecutive appearance at the U SPORTS National Championship.
