The Axewomen basketball team split this past weekend against the visiting Memorial Sea-Hawks, and Port Williams, N.S. native Haley McDonald averaged 34 points per game against the Sea-Hawks. A third year guard, McDonald posted a career-high 36 points in the Acadia’s second game against Memorial this past Sunday. The 36 point game is fifth in the team’s most points per game record category. In the Axewomen’s opening game against Memorial, McDonald netted 32 points and added 4 steals and four assists. McDonald leads the Axewomen in points per game and is second in the AUS conference leaders with 24.0 points per game average. She is second in the conference in three-point shots made and first in free throws made.
