The defending AUS champion Axewomen basketball team split the home game weekend against a tough UPEI Panthers. Junior guard Lanae Adams, from Lawrenceville, Georgia (US), had 13 points in the Axewomen’s win on Friday night and added nine points and 12 rebounds in Saturday’s close loss to the Panthers. Adams has averaged 12.3 points per game in the season-opening four games of the regular season.
