The Axemen football team continue to extend their winning steak to nine games with Saturday’s win of the AUS Loney Bowl Championship game. Senior running back Dale Wright was named the Don Loney Most Valuable Player following the 31-1 win over Bishop’s. From Markham, Ont., Wright scored all three Acadia touchdowns and carried the ball 20 times for 118 yards. His longest run of the day was 27 yards and he averaged 5.9 yards per carry.
