The Axemen got back on to the Road to the U Cup with an 8-5 win over UPEI after losing 4 games in a row. Axeman Cristiano Digiacinto netted four goals last week in two games including three against UPEI. A third-year forward from Hamilton, Ont, Digiacinto scored one goal in Acadia’s loss to Saint Mayr’s and had a hat-trick against UPEI. Digiacinto scored Acadia’s third and fourth goal in the opening period against UPEI to give Acadia a 4-1 lead. Cristiano scored an empty-net goal in the dying minute of the game to give Acadia the 8-5 win. Digiacinto leads the AUS in goals scored with 19 and is third in points with 35
