The AUS second place hockey and U SPORTS No. 10 ranked Axemen split this past weekend with a close 4-2 loss to the No. 1 UNB Reds and followed it up with a 4-3 overtime shootout loss to the Moncton Aigles Bleus. Second-year goaltender Logan Flodell was a stand out in both games. The Regina, Sask. native stopped 41 of 44 shots against UNB and then delivered another great performance the next night saving 33 of 36 shots against Moncton. Flodell leads the AUS in save percentage with 0.918 and is third in goals-against average of 2.82.
