The Axemen hockey team wrapped up a 3-1 semifinal series win over Saint Mary’s last Tuesday evening with a 4-2 win over the Huskies.  From Regina, Sask., second year goaltender Logan Flodell was named the Subway Player of the Game in the Axemen win. Flodell had 32 saves on 34 shots and made several key saves in the closing two minutes of regulation time as the Huskies had a six-on-five man-advantage with an empty net, trailing the Axemen 3-2 before the empty-net goal. Flodell is second in goals-against average in the playoffs and first in save percentage.
