The Acadia Axemen basketball team swept their weekend two-game series against the visiting Memorial Sea-Hawks concluding with a thrilling buzzer beater win over the Sea-Hawks in the second game. The unsung hero of the weekend was second year guard Marcus Upshaw. From Burlington, Ont., Upshaw drained a timely three-point shot to tie the game at 86 points with 14 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Upshaw then delivered the pass to Brett Speedy for the game winning three-point shot with no time remaining on the clock for the 89-87 win. In the two games this past weekend against Memorial, Upshaw averaged 17.5 points, was 12 for 21 from the floor, added seven assists and netted five of seven three-point shots.
