Football's White-Frayne named AUS Football Specials POW

Acadia Axemen returner and defensive back Jadin White-Frayne is the AUS football special teams player of the week for the week ending Sept. 9, 2018.

A third-year community development student from Wolfville, N.S., White-Frayne had a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Acadia's 39-9 win over the Bishop's Gaiters Saturday in Lennoxville, Que.

He also had nine punt returns for 74 yards (8.2 yard average) in the win

Saint Mary's Huskies quarterback Kaleb Scott is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Sept. 9, 2018.

A third-year sociology student from Mount Albert, Ont., Scott had three touchdowns in Saint Mary's 25-13 win over the Mount Allison Mounties Saturday in Sackville, N.S.

Scott had 265 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, along with 70 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in the win. He was named Subway Player of the Game.

He currently leads the Atlantic conference in passing yards with 720 in three games played.

Saint Mary's Huskies linebacker Brad Herbst has been named the AUS football defensive player of the week.

A fifth-year criminology student from Ottawa, Ont., Herbst led the Saint Mary's defensive in their 25-13 win over the Mount Allison Mounties Saturday in Sackville, N.B.

He recorded 11.5 total tackles (eight solo and seven assisted) and an interception in the win.
