TORONTO, ONT. - Three Acadia Axemen football players will have an opportunity to extend their football career after being chosen to participate in the CFL combines in the coming month.

Senior receiver Glodin Mulali, from Moncton, NB, has received an invitation to the CFL combine while graduating Axemen Alex Smith from Moncton, NB and Matthew Gledhill from Ottawa, ON will participate in the CFL Regional combine.

The CFL released the list of prospects that will participate in the 2021 CFL Combine presented by New Era.

Earlier this year, the CFL announced that the complete combine experience will be conducted virtually. Testing, football drills and interviews will be conducted remotely through video and will replace the traditional in-person gathering of young prospects and football personnel from the league's nine member clubs.

CFL clubs will have the option of conducting live player interviews online, reviewing prospects' previous play on tape, and gathering and reviewing medical, background and performance information remotely.

Acadia head coach Jeff Cummins was thrilled to learn that Mulali, Smith and Gledhill will be able to prove their talent to the CFL teams.

"I am very happy for all three of our selected players. Glodin, Matt and Alex have worked so hard to reach this point in their academic and athletic career while at Acadia. To be recognized by the CFL as legitimate prospects is a testament to their commitment to our program and to their athletic success."
