Regault named AUS first team all-star; Young earns all-rookie honours
Atlantic University Sport announced its 2025-26 men’s basketball all-stars Thursday, with Acadia Axemen guard Ryan Regault earning first team all-star honours and teammate Malko Young being named to the AUS all-rookie team.
Regault, a key playmaker for the Axemen this season, ranked among the conference’s top performers across several offensive categories while leading Acadia in multiple statistical areas.
He finished ninth in the AUS in scoring with 14.9 points per game and ranked second in the conference in assists with 95. Regault also ranked ninth in three-point percentage at 34.9 per cent and fifth in free throw percentage at 84.4 per cent.
Among Axemen players, he led the team in points per game, assists and free throw percentage.
Young, meanwhile, earned all-rookie team recognition following a strong first season with Acadia.
He averaged 6.8 points per game while contributing across the stat sheet with 23 steals, 34 assists and seven blocks. Young also averaged 3.3 rebounds per game, showcasing his versatility on both ends of the floor.
