Kingston, Ontario's Reynolds commits to basketball Axewomen

WOLFVILLE, N.S. – Tegan Reynolds will be wearing the red and blue of the Acadia women's basketball team next fall.

From La Salle Secondary School in Kingston, Ont., Reynolds made the commitment of attending Acadia University based on the recent history of the Axewomen basketball program and academics.

"I think that the basketball program will be a good fit for me, and I be able to connect with the current players, both academically and personality wise. Acadia has a program I am interested in, and a learning environment that I look forward to," said Reynolds.

Adding, "I am excited about the whole endeavour, of living in a different province, of starting my next academic journey, and of being able to continue to play basketball at a high level."

"Tegan is a very high IQ player who has a knack for making consistent plays that win basketball games," said Axewomen coach Len Harvey. "I like Tegan's toughness and commitment to making the plays that contribute to team success. She's also an exceptional student and community member so we're really excited she chose to come to Wolfville and join us as part of our team and community here."

The 5'10" guard is a two-time most valuable player for the La Salle Black Knights and also a three-time female athlete of the year. In 2018, Reynolds and the Black Knights earned their first KASSA City championship and EOSSA regional championship.

With the Kingston Impact Basketball Club, Reynolds was named a JUEL Prep All-Star and is a three-time JUEL Molten All-Academic team award winner. She was also awarded the Athletica Elite Community Service Award during her time with the Impact.
