KINGSTON, ON - The Whig, By Sebastian Bron - Annie Kennedy was studying for a human physiology exam in Acadia's Vaughn Memorial Library when she received an email.
It was from Rugby Canada.
Kennedy, then a second-year kinesiology student at Acadia University and roughly a year removed from experiencing nerve damage to her right calf and foot, shuffled through the message frantically. She picked up the bare essentials — the whats and wheres, the whens.
She'd been selected as part of a group of 40 rugby players east of Ontario to attend the Canadian women's rugby team's East Camp, May 16-20. The four-day camp, held in preparation for the national team's tour to Europe in the coming November, was to be hosted by Queen's University. READ MORE>
