    (HALIFAX, N.S.) - Atlantic University Sport is pleased to announce the 2017-18 AUS women's basketball all-stars and major award winners as selected by the conference's eight head coaches following regular season play. Fifth-year Acadia guard Paloma Anderson was named the Atlantic University Sport most valuable player, while Acadia head coach Len Harvey was named the AUS Coach of the Year. Allie Berry and Haley McDonald were named as an AUS All-Stars.
  • Axewomen finish season 18-2 with over Capers

    SYDNEY, NS - The top two ranked teams in the AUS met up to end the regular season, and both teams put on a show that concluded with the Acadia Axewomen overcoming a late Cape Breton University CAPERS surge to win 97-93. Alison Keough (Marion Bridge, NS), Valentina Primossi (Trieste, ITA), and Sandra Amoah (Toronto, ON) all played their last home games as members of the CAPERS.

    HALIFAX, N.S. – In their final home game of the season, the Dalhousie Tigers faced off against the Acadia Axewomen in Saturday night action. Acadia pushed the pace throughout the game and used their transition to get an early lead and hold on to it. The Axewomen came away with the 92-72 win and clinched first place in the AUS standings with a 17-2 record.

    WOLFVILLE, N.S. – The Acadia faithful witnessed the U SPORTS No. 1 ranked Axewomen’s first loss of the regular season. Down by five at the half, Acadia was unable to make their trademark second-half comeback and fell behind by as much as 23 points at the 9:05 mark of the second half.
