Acadia University, nestled in the heart of the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, complements the landscape of over 200 years of farming. One of only a handful of small Universities remaining in Canada, it's student-athlete population is nearly 10% of the institution's enrolment.

Acadia offers student-athletes an opportunity to grow as a person by combining academics, athletics, and community engagement like no other university in Canada. With 11 varsity status programs including men's hockey, football, men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, women's rugby, women's cross country and men's and women's swimming, the support by the student body, alumni, faculty and staff and community is second to none.

University Athletics

We're proud of Acadia's strong varsity athletics program - it's a tradition that dates back to 1875. Acadia holds more conference and national championships than any other university in Atlantic Canada and has the highest number of Academic All-Canadians for primarily undergraduate universities in the country. We are a member of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and Atlantic University Sport (AUS). When our varsity teams play, our fans gather to carry on Acadia's Stand Up and Cheer tradition!
