Bianca Minelli

Bianca Minelli (basketball) has been named the Acadia female athlete of the week for the period ending November 17.

Minelli, a first-year classical studies student from Brescia, Italy, delivered an outstanding performance for the Axewomen, scoring a total of 39 points over two games in St. John’s against Memorial. She started the weekend with a season-high 18 points, which came after some travel delays forced the Axewomen to have a quick turnaround following their arrival – including a 9 p.m. start.

In Saturday’s contest, she added eight rebounds and three steals to her stat line, showcasing her versatility and impact as a first-year player.

The Axewomen are back on Stu Aberdeen Court this Friday when they host UNB.
