Jodoin commits to Axemen for 2025-26 season
The Acadia Axemen are excited to welcome forward Roenick Jodoin from Cornwall, Ont., for the 2025–26 Atlantic University Sport (AUS) season.
The 5’8, right-shot winger played 164 regular season games in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Barrie Colts from 2021 to 2024, recording 29 goals and 37 assists. He also appeared in 16 playoff games, adding four assists.
Jodoin finished his junior career in the BCHL with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, posting 20 goals and 18 assists in 44 games during the 2024–25 season.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to play hockey in a place like Acadia,” said Jodoin. “It’s a highly regarded hockey program and school. I can’t wait to get started!”
Axemen head coach Darren Burns said Jodoin brings both speed and a complete game to the team.
“Roenick’s passion for the game is what we want in our program,” said Burns. “He is an extremely fast player who will be able to create offence because of his work ethic and high energy. We also feel he has shown that he is a proven 200-foot player. His speed and desire is evident at all times. There is no question that his skating ability will help him in his transition to the AUS.”
