WOLFVILLE – The nationally ranked Axewomen swim team is excited to announce Anna Whittaker as the newest commit for the 2024 season.

A member of Swim Ottawa, she hails from Ottawa, Ont. Whittaker races 200 fly and 100/200 breaststroke, but can also contribute in the IM and 400 freestyle.

“I can't wait to help my new team work towards winning an AUS championship and continue its rise in the U SPORTS rankings,” said Whittaker.

Coming to Acadia, she has experience at the Canadian Junior, Eastern Canadian and Ontario Swimming championships. At the 2023 provincial championship, she collected gold in the 200 breaststroke and silver in 400 freestyle. She was also part of five gold-medal winning relay/medley teams.

Whittaker will be working towards a kinesiology degree while attending Acadia.
