Grant named women's rugby All-Canadian

Acadia Axewomen's Sara Grant has earned a spot as a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian, marking a prestigious accolade in her standout season for the Axewomen.

Grant, a fourth-year centre from Melrose, N.B., has led the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) conference in scoring, showcasing a remarkable offensive performance throughout the season.

Grant's season tally included seven tries and 12 conversions, amassing 59 points to lead all AUS scorers.

Her efforts helped propel Acadia into the AUS rugby championship final where they won their first championship since 2015, underscoring her impact as a pivotal player for the team. Known for her speed and game control, Grant’s contribution has been integral to Acadia’s success on the field, and her All-Canadian selection solidifies her status as one of the nation’s elite rugby players.
