Goalkeeper Olivia Harrison commits to Axewomen soccer
The Axewomen soccer team has added goalkeeper Olivia Harrison to its 2025-26 roster.
Harrison, a 5’9 Dartmouth, N.S., native, has served as captain and starting goalkeeper for United DFC (2011-2023) and Black Rock FC in New Hampshire (2023-2025). Known for her composure on the field and strong training habits, Harrison is considered one of Canada’s top young goalkeepers.
“Olivia is exactly the type of recruit we’re looking for,” said Axewomen head coach Amit Batra. “She is dedicated to her training and improving and has shown herself to be one of the top young goalkeepers in Canada. Her calm demeanour on the field gives everyone around her confidence, and her training habits are second to none. I’m really excited for the level of training and competition that Olivia is going to bring to our squad. She’s an excellent student and has leadership potential that will impact her team and the surrounding community.”
Harrison, who will enrol in Acadia’s kinesiology program, said she is eager to join the team and campus community.
“It means a lot to be committed to a community that cares deeply about you as an individual and is excited about what you are going to bring,” she said. “I am very excited to be continuing my academic and athletic career at Acadia University.”
Harrison’s leadership and skill are expected to have an immediate impact as she joins the Axewomen next fall.
