The Axemen football team lost their first game of the season in a 38-0 defeat to the visiting Montreal Carabins in the U SPORTS Uteck Bowl - National semifinal football game at Raymond field this past weekend. In his graduating year, senior linebacker Bailey Feltmate posted an amazing effort defensively with 11 solo tackles and four assisted. The native of Moncton, N.B. also had a quarterback sack and an interception for a 42-yard return. Feltmate was named the AUS Defensive Player of the Year and will represent at the AUS at the U SPORTS Football All-Canadian Awards Banquet this week at the Vanier Cup in Quebec, Que.
