HALIFAX – Axewomen forward Abbey Aucoin has been named Soccer Nova Scotia’s senior player of the year for 2023.

Grace Longley (women’s soccer) and Gabe Davignon (men’s basketball) have been named Acadia athletes of the week for the period ending October 29.

The Acadia Axewomen program had five players named AUS all-stars on Wednesday, while the Axemen had one member announced prior to the championships beginning this week in Cape Breton.

ST. JOHN’S – The Acadia Axewomen topped the Memorial Sea-Hawks 2-1 on Saturday for identical results and a weekend sweep heading into the AUS championship.

WOLFVILLE – Sydney Kennedy scored four times in Acadia’s 6-0 victory over the Saint Mary’s Huskies on Friday night.

WOLFVILLE – A pair of goals by Kaitlyn Clarke had the Dalhousie Tigers (2-4-1) ahead of the Acadia Axewomen (5-2-1) at halftime on Friday night, but three goals in under 10 minutes propelled Acadia to victory.

WOLFVILLE – The No. 7 ranked STFX X-Women (7-0-0) topped the No. 8 Acadia Axewomen (4-2-1) 1-0 on Sunday to stay atop the AUS and undefeated.
