The Axemen hockey team wrapped up the first half of the season with two wins this past weekend including an overtime win against Moncton and a win against the U SPORTS No. 1 ranked UNB Reds. A big part of both wins was the outstanding performance of Axemen Logan Flodell. A second-year goalie from Regina, Sask., Flodell stopped 40 shots in the Axemen’s 3-2 win over UNB and 33 saves vs Moncton. Logan was named the Subway Player of the Game in the Axemen’s win over UNB. Flodell leads the AUS in wins with 11, save percentage of 0.911 and is third in goals-against average of 2.93.
