The Axewomen basketball team split their weekend games at Memorial with a win Saturday night and a loss on Sunday afternoon. Despite the loss the Axewomen remain in first place in the AUS standings and the effort of third-year forward Sarsha Cadle was a big part of Saturday’s win. From Melbourne, Australia, Cadle had an astounding 21 rebounds – 17 of which were defensive boards – and 14 points in the Axewomen’s 89-74 win over Memorial. Cadle also had 10 assists in the win and named the Subway Player of the Game. Cadle leads the AUS in rebounds and rebounds per game with 68 and 11.3 respectively.
