Samantha Russell

Samantha Russell has been named the Acadia female athlete of the week for the period ending March 3 following her performance in the AUS semifinal matchup against UPEI.

Russell, a fourth-year business administration student from Dartmouth, NS, led the Axewomen with 14 points and 11 rebounds, recording a double-double in the hard-fought playoff game. She was also a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line and added one steal.

The Acadia athletes of the week are presented by McDonald’s.
