Media Information

Acadia University’s Department of Athletics has policies in place regarding photography and videography within our facilities. No photography or videography is permitted without prior approval from Acadia Athletics. If permission is granted, all activity must be conducted under the supervision of an Acadia Athletics staff member.

Anyone wishing to take photographs or video inside the Acadia Athletics Complex or outdoors on or surrounding fields must request permission in advance.

Acadia Games

For single-game media or photo credentials, please email chris.cameron@acadiau.ca at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled game time.

Please note:

  • Credentials are only issued to working media personnel/photographers on assignment from a recognized media organization or to approved photographers, videographers or staff from AUS/U SPORTS member schools
  • Credentials must be presented upon entry and upon request at any time.
  • Credentials are non-transferable, may be revoked at the sole discretion of Acadia Athletics, and will automatically terminate if any terms are breached.
  • Holding an AUS Media Pass does not guarantee admittance — a request must still be submitted at least 48 hours in advance.
  • All-access passes issued by Acadia Athletics are valid only for Acadia home varsity exhibition games and AUS regular season or playoff games. They do not grant access to facilities at other times, including non-varsity events, Athletics Centre activities, team practices, or any events unrelated to home varsity competition.
  • The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) during games is strictly prohibited.
  • Photographers are not permitted in bench areas.

Athlete and Coach Interview Requests

Interviews with Acadia University student-athletes, coaches, or staff can be arranged by contacting the Sports Information and Communications Coordinator. We request at least 24 hours’ notice when possible. Student-athletes have been instructed to refer all interview requests to the Communications office. Acadia Athletics will not provide direct contact information for student-athletes without their prior consent.
