Thomas Couture

Goaltender Thomas Couture has been named the Acadia male athlete of the week for the period ending March 3 following his outstanding performance in the AUS semifinal series against the No. 1 ranked UNB REDS.

Couture, a second-year business administration student from Lévis, Quebec, was a key factor in keeping the Axemen competitive against the top-ranked team in the country. Over the three-game series, he made an incredible 129 saves while facing 144 shots, finishing the series with a .895 save percentage.
