Fletcher adds significant size to Axemen offensive line

The Axemen offensive line added significant size this week with the commitment of Beaux Fletcher.

From Cornwall, Ont., the 6’10 and 400 lb offensive lineman joins Acadia from John Abbott College.

“Acadia is very excited to have Big Beaux joining us this fall and we are looking forward to seeing him on the field,” said head coach Jeff Cummins. “Beaux is a good athlete for a 6’10, 400 pounder whom fancys himself a basketball guy. In 2023 the big fella had a broken foot so he did not get a chance to show his wares and we all look forward to seeing what 2024 has in store. We expect Beaux to bring a presence and work ethic that would make him and our offensive line something to see.”

He spent 2021-23 with the John Abbott, most recently being part of their 6-2 team. In 2021 as a rookie he was part of the Bol d’Or (RSEQ championship) team that defeated Montmorency in the final.

“It means so much for me to be able to play for the Axemen and encourage Indigenous youth to work hard and be someone to look up to,” said Fletcher

He is a proud member of Williams Lake First Nation.

Fletcher will be working towards a history degree at Acadia.
