Axemen continue to strengthen offensive line

The Axemen offensive line has added another provincial team member with the commitment of Zak Parisé.

The 6’4, 255 lb lineman comes to Acadia from the Leo Hayes Lions in his hometown of Fredericton, N.B. With the Lions since 2020, Parisé was team captain in his senior season, as well as the offensive lineman of the year.

For his play, the NBIAA also recognized him with all-star offence and offensive lineman of the year awards for the south-west conference.

In 2022 he was a team captain and defensive lineman of the year for the Lions, as well as a league all-star.

“Zak is a big kid who can move. He’s a great athlete at 6’4, 255 pounds and was a team N.B. player and an all-star at Leo Hayes,” said head coach Jeff Cummins. “We think Zak has a lot of potential and could play multiple positions on the offensive line and even on defence in a pinch.”

With Team New Brunswick in 2022 and 2023 he played in two Football Canada Cups.

“I'm looking forward to getting to know my new teammates and all of the new experiences to come.”

Parisé will be working towards a business degree while attending Acadia.
