Swain joins 2024 Axemen recruitment class

The Acadia Axemen are excited to announce the commitment of Nicolas Swain.

A 6’1, 163 lb kicker/punter, he calls Moncton home. He has played the last two seasons with Moncton High School Purple Knights under coach John Allanach where he was a two-time special teams MVP.

With MHS they finished second place in the NBIAA east conference, which was highlighted by a game-winning field goal in an 11-8 victory over Riverview. Individually, Swain averages 35 yards per punt, while averaging 40+ yards while punting inside his team’s own five-yard-line and back.

“Nick is a talented kicker who will look to compete immediately,” said Adam Melanson, defensive line coach. “Nick demonstrated his talents all year long for the Moncton Knights by consistently shifting the field position with his punts and kickoffs. We look forward to having Nick on campus and seeing him develop into an impact player for us at the kicking position.”

Swain will be working towards a business degree while attending Acadia.
