Trystan Kebede has also committed to the Axemen football program from the St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights, joining his teammate, Gurjaan Siddoo.
A 6’0, 210-pound running back, he hails from Richmond, B.C.
“Trystan is a strong hard nose running back coming from a great program. We are very fortunate to get him here at Acadia to bolster our running back room,” said head coach Jeff Cummins. “He runs hard, breaks tackles and catches the ball out of the backfield very well. We expect great things from Trystan and know he’s going to be a force on special teams right away and hopefully in the backfield.”
In his most recent season with the Knights, he was named a B.C. conference all-star, led the team in total rushing yards and was named the Knights best back.
“Committing to Acadia means everything to me and to do it at such a great place makes it that much more special,” said Kebede. “I give thanks to all the coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to play football at the next level. It’s always been a dream of mine since I was young to play university football and I’m very grateful to achieve my dream here.”
He will be studying business administration while attending Acadia.
