Axemen add QB Gurjaan Siddoo

The Axemen had added a quarterback to their 2024 recruitment class with the commitment of Gurjaan Siddoo.

From Coquitlam, B.C., he joins Acadia from the St. Thomas More Collegiate Knights.

“Gurjaan is a long and lean athlete playing quarterback that has the ability to throw off platform and extend plays,” said head coach Jeff Cummins. “He has given high school defences fits for the last couple years and we know defensive coaches always struggle with elusive throwers. We are excited to see how Gurjaan translates into the university game as a very athletic quarterback.”

The 6’5, 180-pound QB has won a pair of high school provincial championships, capturing the B.C. titles in 2019 and 2021. In Grade 10 he was the Knights MVP and in Grade 12 won the coaches award, which exemplifies leadership and excellence on and off the field.

“Committing to Acadia means being able to continue playing the sport I love at a university level, but with a program that will push me to be the best I can be and I’m excited to help this team reach its goals,” said Siddoo.

He will be working towards a political science degree while attending Acadia.
