SYDNEY, N.S. - In what proved to be a defensive battle from start to finish, the Cape Breton University Capers and the Acadia Axemen battled to a scoreless draw in AUS men's soccer action Sunday afternoon in Sydney.
For the CIS No. 3 ranked Capers (4-0-2), it was second consecutive scoreless draw after racking up 19 goals in their first four games, all victories.
The Capers edged the Axemen 10-6 in shots and 2-1 in shots on goal in the tight offensive struggle.
Acadia (3-0-2) also remains undefeated on the season.
The Capers will be on the road this weekend when they head to Newfoundland for a pair of games against the Memorial Sea-Hawks, while the Axemen will host Dalhousie this coming Friday evening and then travel to StFX on Sunday.
