Comeback falls short against X-Men
WOLFVILLE – Going down 3-0 in the first 30 minutes of Sunday’s match, the Acadia Axemen comeback started in the final 20 minutes fell short as they lost 3-2 to the STFX X-Men.

WOLFVILLE – Going down 3-0 in the first 30 minutes of Sunday's match, the Acadia Axemen comeback started in the final 20 minutes fell short as they lost 3-2 to the STFX X-Men.
Kyle Cordeiro scored twice in three minutes to open the game for the X-Men, with the eventual game-winning goal coming from Dyan Vil in the 31st minute.
Jabu Deng opened the scoring for the Axemen in the 73rd minute, with Liam Kelly assisting on the tally.
Naoya Yokota scored in his first appearance with Acadia in the 86th minute, which Kelly assisted on.
Dylan Legere made nine saves in the loss over 63 minutes before Connor Burns came into the match for Acadia.
STFX's William Veinot made three saves in the victory.
This week Acadia hosts Dalhousie on Friday night at home, while STFX hosts Mount Allison. Both matches are slated for 7:15 p.m.
