ST. JOHN'S – The Acadia Axemen will need some help and a win on Saturday to advance to the AUS championship after the Memorial Sea-Hawks picked up a 1-0 victory on Friday.
Augustine Opuoro scored the eventual game-winning goal in the sixth minute for MUN.
Dylan Legere made six saves in the loss, while Louis-Charles Vaillancourt made one.
The two teams will face each other once again for their last regular season games tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 20 at 6:45 p.m. Atlantic.
